BBA Invites Youth To Join Cycling Programme

The Bermuda Bicycle Association [BBA] has announced the launch of its 2025 Youth and Junior Road Cycling Programme, offering young riders aged 13–18 a chance to build confidence, improve fitness, and experience the thrill of cycling.

A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Bicycle Association [BBA] is excited to announce the launch of its Youth and Junior Road Cycling Programme for 2025, designed to help young riders aged 13–18 build confidence, improve fitness, and discover the thrill of cycling. Starting this January, the year round programme offers a supportive and inspiring environment for Bermuda’s next generation of cyclists.

Why Cycling?

“Cycling isn’t just a sport—it’s a gateway to personal growth and well-being. Participants in the programme will benefit from:

  • Increased Confidence: Achieving fitness goals boosts self-belief.
  • Improved Focus: Physical activity enhances mental clarity and attention.
  • Holistic Health: Cycling strengthens both body and mind, promoting resilience and discipline.

Programme Details

“The Youth and Junior Road Cycling Programme is tailored to meet the needs of riders at different stages of their cycling journey:

  • Ages 13–14: Group road riding and skill development.
  • Ages 15–18: Advanced training for competitive cyclists.

“The programme includes expert coaching, safety workshops, group rides, and opportunities to compete locally and internationally.

Information Session

“To learn more, athletes and parents are invited to attend an information session:

  • Date: Sunday, January 5
  • Time: 4:00 PM
  • Location: Prospect Police Club

“This session provides a chance to meet the coaches, hear from current participants, and discover how cycling can positively impact young lives.”

Cycling has given me confidence, friendships, and the drive to achieve my goals,” said one of BBA’s leading junior riders, Charlotte Millington.
