19-Year-Old Injured In Collision On Causeway
A 19-year-old motorcyclist was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after a collision on the Causeway.
A police spokesperson said, “Around 5:20 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, police and Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service [BFRS] personnel were dispatched to a single-vehicle road traffic collision involving a motorcycle, on the Causeway, St. George.
“It was reported that the motorcycle rider, a 19-year-old male, was travelling in an easterly direction along the Causeway, when upon approaching the Bailey bridge, he lost control of the vehicle and fell on the roadway.
“He was attended to at the scene by BFRS staff before being transferred by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries which were described as non-life threatening.
“Traffic was restricted to one lane for approximately two hours while the collision scene was processed.
“We wish to thank the public for their patience and cooperation during this process.
