Mia Fishel In Chelsea Matchday Squad
Footballer Mia Fishel returned to the Chelsea Women’s matchday squad in their 3-1 win at home to Leicester City Women in the Women’s Super League [WSL] yesterday [March 5].
Fishel, whose father is Bermudian, was an unused substitute. “Blessed to be back in the squad,” she wrote on social media.
The forward underwent knee surgery 12 months ago after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury while training with the United States women’s national team on the eve of the Concacaf W Gold Cup.
Fishel, who was born in San Diego, California, joined Chelsea from Mexican club Tigres in 2023, scoring once in ten appearances in the WSL last season.
Chelsea, the league champions, are top of the table with 44 points from 16 games.
