Somersfield Academy Annual Golf Fundraiser
Tickets for team entries are now on sale for Somersfield Academy’s Golf Fundraiser.
A spokesperson said, “Somersfield Academy is excited to announce that tickets for team entries are now on sale for its annual Golf Fundraiser, set to take place on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Port Royal Golf Course, sponsored by Butterfield, HSBC, Carey Olsen, and Arch Capital Group Ltd.
“Participants of all skill levels can look forward to a day of friendly competition, contests, networking, and community building in support of a worthy cause. Every dollar raised by the event goes toward the Somersfield Bursary Fund which supports families and students from 3 to 18 years with access to vital educational resources, including tuition assistance, overseas learning opportunities, tech equipment, and extracurricular activities.”
“Our annual golf fundraiser isn’t just about a great day on the course,” says Alison Kempe, Admissions Director at Somersfield Academy. “It’s about strengthening our community and ensuring that every child has access to quality education. All the money raised directly benefits our bursary fund which enables us to welcome talented, driven students from diverse backgrounds, enriching the learning experience for all. We thank our sponsors for their generous support and commitment to education, diversity and inclusion. And there are still opportunities for more to get involved.”
Jody Feldman, Managing Director of Butterfield in Bermuda, said, “This fundraising event aligns with our commitment to invest in the future through education and we are happy to be one of the lead sponsors. The day itself will provide a great opportunity for some competitive golf, but importantly it has charitable giving and community impact at its heart.”
“HSBC is committed to furthering educational opportunities for young people in Bermuda,” says Greg Garnier, CEO of HSBC Bermuda. “We support initiatives that focus on developing capabilities for Bermuda’s ongoing role as a Global Financial Service Centre.”
“Carey Olsen is proud to support such a worthy cause,” says Gavin Woods, Partner at Carey Olsen. “Education is a fundamental pillar of our community, and we’re delighted to contribute to Somersfield Academy’s mission.”
“Arch is pleased to support Somersfield Academy’s efforts to create opportunities for Bermudians and other residents to gain equitable access to top quality education,” commented Maamoun Rajeh, President of Arch Capital Group. “At Arch, we believe deeply in the power of education to unlock opportunity for all.”
A spokesperson added, “The highly anticipated fundraiser will begin with registration at 12:00 pm, followed by a shotgun start at 1:00 pm, with some incredible prize commitments and donations available, including hotel stays, air travel, dining experiences, golf packages, luxury swag, and more.
