HERstory Women’s History Month Festival
The Women’s Resource Centre [WRC] will host the ‘HERstory Women’s History Month Festival’ on Saturday, March 29th in St. George’s.
A spokesperson said, “History lives in the stories we tell, and on Saturday, March 29, 2025, the Women’s Resource Centre [WRC] will bring these stories to life with the HERstory Women’s History Month Festival on Water Street in St. George’s.
“This immersive celebration will honour the contributions of Bermudian women to our history, culture, and economy through storytelling, artistic showcases, interactive workshops, and live performances.”
“As WRC continues its shift to a broader focus on prevention and community-building, events like these are fundamental,” said Juanae Crockwell, Executive Director of WRC. “Celebrating our collective contributions and heritage, while highlighting the incredible work of women in Bermuda, is a crucial part of fostering self-esteem and empowerment among women and girls.”
The spokesperson said, “Curated by Kristin White of Long Story Short, the festival will bring together community members, artists, historians, and entrepreneurs to create a dynamic and engaging experience. A blend of historical education and contemporary expression, the festival is designed to inspire reflection, spark creativity, and encourage deeper connections with Bermuda’s rich heritage.”
“I am so honoured to be part of this event. As a storyteller, based in the Town of St. George, I am inspired by the stories of women from history and those of my fellow female entrepreneurs,” Ms White said.
“Being able to create an experience that highlights these, invites the community and visitors to Bermuda’s beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site, and celebrates local artists and creatives is very exciting. And hopefully, this can become an annual staple of Women’s History Month!”
The spokesperson said, “The HERstory Festival will run from 12:00pm – 4:00pm with a lineup of historical tours, hands-on cultural activities, and interactive storytelling taking place throughout the town. The event will culminate in live performances from 4:00pm – 6:00pm showcasing the artistic talents of Bermudian women through music, poetry, and theatrical presentations.
A Celebration of Women’s Contributions
“Throughout the day, attendees can participate in:
- Historical Tours & Talks – Explore the impact of Bermudian women throughout history with guided tours and engaging storytelling sessions.
- Cultural Activities – Engage live demonstrations, and hands-on experiences led by female entrepreneurs and creatives.
- Entertainment & Performances – Enjoy a powerful lineup of female artists, authors, and musicians as they take the stage to celebrate women’s voices.

“Adding to the day’s festivities, museums in St. George’s will be open to the public for free, allowing attendees to step back in time and experience the remarkable stories of Bermudian women firsthand.
“Additionally, restaurants in the town will be open and offering special menu items for festival-goers. Thanks to the Corporation of St. George, Water Street will be closed to traffic, making it easy and safe for guests to experience the festival. Free parking will be available in the large Tiger Bay parking lot.
“The HERstory Festival is designed to be a family-friendly event open to all members of the community, not just women and girls. Whether you’re an avid history enthusiast, a lover of the arts, or simply looking for a meaningful and engaging way to celebrate Women’s History Month, there will be something for everyone at this unique and immersive event.
