Sailing: Christian Ebbin & Tulane In 7th Place
Christian Ebbin and his Tulane University sailing teammates concluded their regular season campaign at the Thompson trophy team race in New London, Connecticut.
The final day of the competition saw challenging sailing conditions, with a brisk northerly wind ranging from 6 to 25 knots and strong currents.
After a tough battle on the water, Tulane University finished seventh in the eight-team field.
Tulane’s team, with skippers Hamilton Barclay, Gabriela Vassel, Ebbin, Ava Anderson, Kelly Holthus, and Sammie Gardner, and crews CJ Ricci and Essie Clifton, recorded an 8-13 record over the two days. Their performance included two wins against Tufts University and one win each against Roger Williams University and the Coast Guard Academy.
Harvard University emerged as the overall winners of the Thompson trophy team race.
