Motorcycle Rider Injured In Collision
A U.S. visitor was fined $2,000 after pleading guilty to causing grievous bodily harm by careless driving, following a two-vehicle collision on Crow Lane that left a motorcyclist injured.
A police spokesperson said, “Around 9:10 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, Police and Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to a report of a two vehicle road traffic collision involving a rental microcar and a motorcycle.
“It was reported that microcar with three persons inside, was traveling in a westerly direction on the city bound carriageway of Crow Lane, when it collided with the motorcycle.
“The occupants of the microcar became trapped inside the vehicle but were subsequently freed with the assistance of first responders.
“The male motorcycle rider, a Bermudian National, sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where at last check he continued to receive treatment.
“The occupants of the rental vehicle, three females who were visiting Bermuda from the United States, all sustained minor injuries in the collision. They were attended to at hospital and discharged.
“The driver attended plea court on Monday, June 23, 2025 and was formally charged with causing Grievous Bodily Harm by Careless Driving.
“She pleaded guilty to this offence and was fined $2000.00.”
