Mya Peets Awarded 2025 Deloitte Scholarship
Mya Peets has been named the 2025 Deloitte Scholarship recipient.
A spokesperson said, “Over the course of three years, the scholarship can give up to $30,000 annually. Undergraduate students from Bermuda who want to study accounting, actuarial science or other business-related subjects can apply.”
Ms Peets said, “I am appreciative of Deloitte for selecting me as the recipient for the 2025 Deloitte Scholarship. This has been a long road, and I’m grateful for the opportunity while I complete the final year of my degree.”
The spokesperson said, “This year’s group of applicants were impressive, but the Deloitte Scholarship Committee chose Mya as the recipient because of her astuteness. Mya is entering her final year at Mount Saint Vincent University, which she is pursuing online. Mya is expected to graduate in May 2026 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Association with Bermuda College, majoring in Accounting.

“Mya has participated in Deloitte’s Exclusive Experience Program [DEEP] during summer and winter periods in the Audit & Assurance department. With each internship, Mya has gained a more understanding of what is expected to be an Auditor, which pushes her to learn more as she continues. Once Mya graduates, she plans to pursue the Chartered Professional Accountant [CPA] designation with the support of Deloitte.”
“At Deloitte, we look for people who are innovative and driven to add value to and make an impact through their work”, says Heldar Carreiro, Audit & Assurance Partner and member of the Deloitte Scholarship Committee.
“We want to support local talent so that they may achieve their professional goals by investing in them. Therefore, it gives me great pleasure to award our 2025 Deloitte Scholarship to Mya. She has proven to be dedicated to her studies and to pursuing her professional accounting designation. Deloitte hopes she continues to succeed and looks forward to supporting her both monetarily and via her job experiences.”
