Peter Leitner Arts Scholarship Awards $60,000
The Peter Leitner Arts Scholarship, now in its’ 24th year, has just given out $60,000 in scholarships for students studying the arts.
A spokesperson said, “Recipients this year are Abigail Belfrage, Kimora Dill-Daniels, Grace Flannery, Isaiah Hayward, Mya Jones, Kaiya Matthews, Honor Minors, Nekorrah Raynor, Sophie Rouja, Nicole Smith, Keimya Smith, Kenya Smith-Woodley, Zamora Talbot, Naysaa Tucker and Jonathan Westhead.
“The scholarship was set up by Margaret Leitner in memory of her husband, Peter Leitner, upon her death in 2000. Peter and Margaret both loved the arts and wanted to give back to Bermuda, where they met and then married in 1968, having arrived separately on the island to work.”
