Orchard And Turner Earn MJM Scholarships
MJM Limited has awarded its Legal Education Scholarship and Bursary to Emily Orchard and Za’Khari Turner.
A spokesperson said, “MJM’s Legal Scholarship is granted to an outstanding Bermudian or Permanent Resident Certificate Holder [PRC] who aspires to enter the field of law and is committed to return to Bermuda to practise. The scholarship is renewable, subject to satisfactory academic progress and other conditions, for up to four years.”
Emily Orchard was awarded the MJM Scholarship to the value of $15,000 to support her legal studies. She will be attending the University of Birmingham, England where she will pursue a Bachelor of Laws.
Ms Orchard said, “It is a great honour to be the recipient of the 2025 MJM Legal Education Scholarship. As an individual with a passion for law and the intention to pursue law as a career here in Bermuda, receiving such an award is an incredible accomplishment. I am grateful to have MJM’s support and encouragement as their belief in me is an incentive to put my best foot forward. I am appreciative of MJM’s commitment to fostering young Bermudians to achieve expertise in the legal field.”
Za’Khari Turner received a $5,000 bursary from MJM. Za’Khari will continue her studies at De Montfort University, in Leicester, England, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Laws degree.
Ms Turner said, “I am honoured to be the recipient of a MJM Legal Bursary. I look forward to returning to Bermuda to make a meaningful contribution to the legal profession and the wider community. I extend my sincere gratitude to MJM for their confidence in my potential and their investment in my future.”
