Deloitte Partners With Creative Learning Centre
Deloitte Bermuda has selected the Bermuda Centre for Creative Learning [BCCL] as its 2025-2026 Community School, marking the beginning of a year-long collaboration designed to strengthen educational and workplace inclusion for neurodiverse learners.
A spokesperson said, “Through this collaboration, Deloitte staff will volunteer their time each week to provide one-on-one tutoring for BCCL students, focusing on foundational math skills. The initiative reflects the firm’s commitment to advancing equity in education and creating inclusive pathways for all learners.
“In return, BCCL will deliver a series of Lunch & Learn sessions at Deloitte throughout the year, exploring the foundations of neurodiversity and providing practical strategies for fostering inclusion in both educational and corporate settings. Topics will include:
- Understanding Neurodiversity: Foundations and Misconceptions
- Neurodiversity in Education
- Neurodiversity in the Workplace
“Together, these efforts demonstrate how the education and business sectors can build a more inclusive Bermuda – one that recognizes, values, and supports different ways of thinking and learning.”
“We’re thrilled to be working with Deloitte,” said Cindy Corday, Co-Founder and Head of School at BCCL. “Our students benefit enormously from personalized support – but this goes far beyond academics. It demonstrates to our students that leading companies like Deloitte see their potential, believe in their abilities, and value the unique ways they learn and contribute.”
The spokesperson said, “For Deloitte, the initiative is an opportunity to give back in a way that aligns with its core values around community impact and belonging.”
“At Deloitte, we believe inclusion starts with understanding,” said Jarita Vickers, CFO and Leader of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee at Deloitte Bermuda. “The tutoring and lunch & learn sessions with BCCL allow our team to make a real difference for students while also learning how neurodiversity enriches our workplaces and our communities.
The spokesperson said, “The initiative will run throughout the 2025–26 school year, blending volunteerism with professional learning. For BCCL students, it means extra support and positive role models from Bermuda’s corporate community. For Deloitte employees, it offers the chance to deepen their awareness of neurodiversity, strengthen inclusive leadership skills, and engage directly with the next generation of Bermudians.”
“When we talk about inclusion, it can’t just be a concept,” added Corday. “It has to be lived-in classrooms, boardrooms, and everywhere in between. That’s what makes this collaboration so meaningful.”
