Men’s Grief Group Begins This October

October 8, 2025 | 1 Comment

Tuwile Grief Support will launch Men’s Speak: Grief & Loss — a closed, judgment-free support group for men coping with death-related losses — on Thursday, October 16, at 6pm at Suite Solutions, New Venture House in Pembroke.

A spokesperson said, “Grief can feel heavy, and too often men carry it in silence behind closed doors, behind a strong façade, or buried under work and routine. But silence doesn’t heal. To address this need, Tuwile Grief Support is launching Men’s Speak: Grief & Loss, a closed, judgment-free support group designed specifically for men who are navigating death-related losses.

“Originally beginning Thursday, October 2, 2025, but due to the hurricanes, the group will begin on Thursday October 16 at 6pm, bi-weekly at Suite Solutions, New Venture House, 3rd Floor, 3 Mill Creek Road, Pembroke, HM05. Over six guided sessions, participants will have the opportunity to process their grief, share openly, and gain tools for healthy coping and healing.

“Men’s Speak provides a safe, confidential space where men can:

  • Share their personal experiences with grief and loss
  • Connect with others who truly understand
  • Learn practical strategies and tools for healing and growth”

“Men are told to ‘man up’ and push through pain because they are supposed to provide and protect, but that only makes grief heavier and increases their risk of mortality,” said Jeelise Allen, Founder of Tuwile Grief Support. “Men’s Speak gives men permission to lay that weight down, to be real, and to learn healthier ways of coping. Men have feelings too, and they deserve to be heard and validated. This group isn’t about weakness. It’s about finding strength together.”

The spokesperson said, “In addition to the group, individual sessions are also available for men seeking one-on-one support. To help individuals take the first step, Tuwile offers a complimentary 15-minute consultation to explore whether grief therapy is the right fit. Appointments can be booked by calling 441-591-1107, emailing info@tuwilebda.com, visiting www.tuwilebda.com, or connecting on Instagram @tuwilebda and Facebook at Tuwile Grief Support Services.”
