Former Bermuda national team cricketer Dennico Hollis will help develop the island’s future players after joining the FrayStar Cricket Institute.

Hollis recently returned to Bermuda after spending seven years in Scotland, where he played for LOC Hire Stenhousemuir Cricket Club.

The all-rounder, who plays locally for Bailey’s Bay, won a pair of honours at the Stenhousemuir annual awards ceremony.

He claimed the Most Outstanding Performance Award for his 126 not out for Stenhousemuir Second XI against Nunholm Second XI in the Western Cricket District Union Premiership Two.

The 37-year-old also received the Most Runs award after scoring more than 300 runs during the season.

Since launching last year, FrayStar Cricket has provided a nurturing environment where boys and girls aged 5 to 17 can learn the fundamentals of cricket while developing essential life skills.

“We’re proud to introduce Bermudian cricketer Dennico Hollis to the FrayStar Cricket Institute family,” read a FrayStar Cricket statement.

“Having spent seven years in Scotland, Dennico brings a wealth of international experience and passion for the game.

“Now back home in Bermuda and representing Bailey’s Bay Cricket Club, he joins our mission to develop the next generation of cricketers both on and off the field.

“We value his commitment, knowledge, and leadership – and we’re excited to have him on board as part of our growing FrayStar family.”
