Tennessee Coach Hails Prospect Ralph Scott
Rick Barnes, the University of Tennessee basketball coach, said he is excited to start working with Bermudian prospect Ralph Scott.
The 17-year-old choose Tennessee over offers from Texas A&M University, the University of Houston and Purdue University in September.
The 6ft 8in small forward, who attends the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, is a former Warwick Academy student.
“Ralph burst on to the scene late and is still developing, but we are so excited about his immense potential, as he is a young man with so much in front of him,” Barnes said in a school release yesterday [November 18].
“He is a legit 6ft 8in wing with long arms who possesses both a tremendous feel for the game and an impressive ability to shoot the ball with excellent form.
“Ralph plays at a big-time prep programme where he performs on a national stage against top-level competition, which will only help further prepare him for the rigors of the SEC.”
Scott joins forward Manny Green and point guard Marquis Clark in Tennessee’s 2026 class.
