The MarketPlace has issued a full advisory for the 2025 MarketPlace Christmas Parade in Hamilton, outlining road closures, parking, marine restrictions, and viewing guidance.

A spokesperson said, “Following our announcement earlier this week, The MarketPlace is issuing a full public advisory for the 2025 MarketPlace Christmas Parade, taking place this weekend, on Sunday, 7 December in the City of Hamilton. This update provides all operational details for spectators and businesses, including road closures, parking arrangements, marine restrictions, safety guidance, and recommended viewing areas. These measures are in place to support an enjoyable and safe experience for the thousands of families expected to attend the parade and the Night Sky Celebration that follows.

Event Details

  • Date: Sunday, 7 December 2025
  • Parade: 5:00 PM to approximately 7:00 PM
  • Route: Par-la-Ville Car Park → Church St. → Court St. → Front St. → finish at the Birdcage
  • Night Sky Celebration [Drones & Fireworks] - : 7:10 PM to 7:30 PM

Viewing Areas

“Spectators are welcome along the entire parade route. For the best view of the drone and fireworks displays, attendees are encouraged to move to Front Street once the parade concludes. There will be a brief hold between the parade and the Night Sky Celebration to allow the public to reposition.

Event Schedule And Public Advisory

  • No.5 & No.1 Car parks closed from 6:00 AM on Sunday.
  • All vehicles must be removed from the parade route by 2:00 PM.
  • Parking is prohibited along the parade route from 2:00 PM. Vehicles remaining after that time will be towed to Elliot Street.
  • Road closures begin at 2:30 PM and will reopen once the Bermuda Police Service deems it safe. Probably between 8:00 and 9:00 PM.
  • Front Street between Par-la-Ville Road and Court Street will remain closed until approximately 9:00 PM.
  • Initial road closures from 2:30 PM include:
    • Par-la-Ville Road [Front Street to Serpentine Road]
    • Church Street [Par-la-Ville Road to Court Street]
    • Court Street [Church Street to Front Street]
    • Front Street [Par-la-Ville Road to Spurling Hill]

Traffic Modifications

  • King Street will operate as a two-way street from 2:30 PM.
  • Bermudiana Road will remain open.
  • Emergency access will be maintained throughout the event.

Parking Facilities

  • City Hall Car Park [via Victoria Street and Wesley Street]
  • Bull’s Head Car Park

Drone Restrictions

“Unauthorised private drones are strictly prohibited along the parade route, over Hamilton Harbour, and within 500 metres of White’s Island between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM for safety reasons.

Marine Notice

“Hamilton Harbour will be closed to all marine traffic around White’s Island during the drone and fireworks display. A Notice to Mariners has been issued.

Food Orders

“Parade packs are available from the MarketPlace Church Street and Supermart Front Street stores. Each pack includes chicken tenders and potato wedges, enough for two children or one adult [six-piece tenders with sweet-and-sour sauce and ketchup] for $14.99. Orders may be placed by email with The MarketPlace: Hamiltonkitchen@marketplace.bm or The Supermart: Catering@supermart.bm up until 9:00 PM on Saturday. The Parade packs can be collected and paid for at the stores on the day of the parade. Both stores will be open before and during the parade.

Pet Owners

“A ten-minute fireworks display will occur at approximately 7:20 PM. Please secure and comfort your pets if you live close to White’s Island.
