Karting Championship Race Day #6 Results
Race Day 6 of the Bermuda Rubis Energy Karting Championship took place on Sunday, November 30, at the Southside Motor Sports Raceway, where competitors battled through overcast conditions in a full slate of heats.
L206 Class
A spokesperson said, “With all drivers running a single-engine package, precision and consistency proved crucial. In Heat 1, #95 Ryan Rebello claimed first place, followed by #91 Jason “Skuzzie” North and #6 David Barbosa. Heat 2 produced new leaders as #84 Owen DeCosta and #213 Marc Tucker controlled the top two spots throughout the race, with #22 Max Correia finishing third. #91 Jason ‘Skuzzie’ North, #84 Owen DeCosta and #6 David Barbosa closed out the day by securing first, second and third, respectively, in the final heat.
Tag Senior
“The first two heats mirrored each other, with #518 Ryan Burgess taking back-to-back wins and #84 Nathan DeCosta finishing second in both. Third place alternated, going to #24 Blake Horseman in Heat 1 and #34 Jorja Thomas in Heat 2. In Heat 3, #84 Nathan DeCosta captured first place, followed by #518 Ryan Burgess in second and #24 Blake Horseman in third.
Tag Junior
“The junior class delivered consistent results throughout all three heats, with #92 Tanner Correia securing first each time. #30 Syah Pedro placed second, #81 Jonathan Linberg took third and #12 Ethan Wheatley finished fourth.
Cadet Class
“The Cadet division also showed steady outcomes across the day, with #92 Tanner Correia and #112 Jacob Garrett claiming first and second place in all three heats.
Shifter Class
“Heat 1 featured a tight five-kart battle for positions three through seven, ultimately settled by #24 Blake Horseman in third, #6 David Selley in fourth, #51 Stephen Corrado in fifth, #11 Chris Ricca in sixth and #34 Jorja Thomas in seventh, with 1st and 2nd being taken by #3 Ryan Rebello and #33 Jason Correia. Heat 2 saw #3 Ryan Rebello take the win ahead of #33 Jason Correia and #24 Blake Horseman. #3 Ryan Rebello, #33 Jason Correia and #11 Chris Ricca taking those top three positions in the final heat.
KZ Master
“Consistency marked the KZ Master class, where #53 Jason DeCouto swept all three heats. #2 William Dunkley secured second place throughout, while #14 Rian Lindo completed the podium with three consecutive third-place finishes.”
