Lisa Howie, Director of Learning and Engagement at the NMB, said, “Learning history is fundamental to understanding our past, present and future. NMB is committed to empowering educators through workshops rooted in inquiry-based learning and museum education practices. The Teachers’ Circle was created to meet the needs of our local educators by fostering collaboration and providing opportunities to deepen understanding of Bermuda history and experiment with historical thinking and inquiry-based learning methods to use in the classroom. We look forward to building relationships, fostering the exchange of knowledge and practices, facilitating the co-authoring of resources, and serving as a reliable partner for Bermuda educators.

“These workshops are free, thanks to our generous philanthropic partners and will take place on the NMB’s campus in Dockyard. We encourage both private and public-school educators of Social Studies, Bermuda Studies, English, Art and the Humanities from primary to high school to register today!”
