Rhys Insley Places In Top 5 In Multiple Events
Bermudian swimmer Rhys Insley competed for Canisius University as the Golden Griffins fell 204–90 to Rider University in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference [MAAC] men’s swimming and diving meet at the Burt Flickinger Center in Buffalo.
Insley placed fifth in the Men’s 100 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:01.42, behind Rider’s Maxwell Connelly. He later finished fourth in the 200 Yard Breaststroke, touching in 2:16.97.
Insley also swam the second leg of the Canisius 200 Yard Medley Relay C team, which recorded a combined time of 1:39.71 to place fifth. He completed his individual schedule in the 200 Yard Individual Medley, finishing fifth in 2:07.95.
The meet was part of Canisius’s preparation for the MAAC Championships next month.
