Crews Shines At Ocala Winter Spectacular VIII
Bermudian equestrian Blaire Crews recorded multiple top finishes at the Ocala Winter Spectacular VIII held at the World Equestrian Center, competing in a 4* 2* Under 25 division against an international field.
In the Hunter ring, Crews placed eighth in the NHS 3’3” Hamel Medal Class aboard Gentley. The class featured 30 competitors, with placings determined by jumping rounds and a flat phase assessing rider position, use of aids and the horse’s responsiveness.
Crews also competed in the Jumper divisions. Riding Cayden, a five-year-old grandson of Clinton, she finished fifth in the Novice .90 Jumper Classic, delivering a competitive result with the young horse.
Her top result of the week came in the Young Jumpers II Class, where she partnered again with Gentley to produce a clear round in 73.713 seconds to claim victory.
