Bermuda Juniors Begin El Salvador Campaign
Bermuda’s team has arrived in El Salvador for the World Junior Tennis pre-qualifying competition.
Two three-member squads selected by the Bermuda Lawn Tennis Association are competing in the Under-14 regional event in San Salvador, which runs until March 30, with a place in the final qualifying tournament in Canada next month at stake.
The girls’ team is captained by Shelby Madeiros and includes Arianna Parra, Chloe McBrearty and Ella Metschnabel.
The boys’ team is led by David Leader, with Riley Maybury, Trystan Thompson and Raul Maldonado.
A total of 22 nations are competing, including Trinidad and Tobago, the Bahamas, Puerto Rico and hosts El Salvador.
