April 20, 2026 | 2 Comments

Youngsters from the DaRock Elite Academy watched clips from Transforming the Beautiful Game: The Clyde Best Story at Saltus Grammar School.

Best, a trailblazing Black footballer who played for West Ham United, attended the event and met the players.

“What an incredible experience for our DaRock Elite Academy players to meet Clyde Best in person and watch clips from his inspiring journey,” Danté Leverock, the DaRock Elite Academy founder, wrote on social media.

“A special moment not just for the players, but for families as well coming together to celebrate a true legend of Bermudian football.

“Legends deserve to be honoured, and we’re grateful to have been part of such a meaningful event with Clyde Best.”

The documentary will be shown at the Earl Cameron Theatre, City Hall, from Tuesday [April 21] to Wednesday, and at the Ruth Seaton James Centre for the Performing Arts in Devonshire from Thursday to Saturday.

Leverock founded the DaRock Elite Academy in 2023.
