Karting Championship Race Day #13 Results

The Bermuda Karting Association [BKA] held Race Day 13 of the Bermuda Rubis Energy Karting Championship today [April 12], with 36 drivers competing as the 2025–2026 season heads into its final stretch.

A spokesperson said, “With the sun shining brightly and just two race days remaining in the Bermuda Rubis Energy Karting Championship 2025–2026 season, the competition is heating up as drivers make their final push for top positions. While some standings appear firmly established, others remain wide open, setting the stage for an exciting conclusion. A total of 36 drivers took to the track in a thrilling day of racing action.

“In the L206 class, #95 Robert Wheatley delivered a flawless performance, taking the checkered flag in all three heats. #91 Jason ‘Skuzzie’ North secured second place in Heats 1 and 3, while #420 Justin Lindo claimed second in Heat 2. Third-place finishes were split between #84 Owen DeCosta, who took the spot in Heat 1, and #6 David Barbosa, who secured third in Heats 2 and 3.

“The TAG Senior class saw competitive exchanges at the front. #84 Nathan DeCosta captured victories in Heats 1 and 3, while #518 Ryan Burgess claimed top honors in Heat 2. #24 Blake Horseman showed consistency with second-place finishes in Heats 1 and 2, while #34 Jorja Thomas stepped up to take second in Heat 3. Third place was shared among #518 Ryan Burgess in Heat 1, #84 Nathan DeCosta in Heat 2, and #16 Bilal Binns in Heat 3.

“Consistency defined the TAG Junior class, where #81 Jonathan Linberg dominated with three straight heat wins. #30 Syah Pedro maintained second place throughout the day, while #12 Alondro Albouy secured third in all three heats, underscoring a steady and disciplined performance across the board.

“In the KZ Masters category, #53 Jason DeCouto proved unbeatable, sweeping all three heats with authority. #2 William Dunkley followed closely, finishing second and maintaining pressure throughout the day.

“The KZ class—the fastest of the day—featured nine karts and delivered high-intensity racing. #24 Blake Horseman claimed victory in Heats 1 and 2 before finishing third in Heat 3. #3 Ryan Rebello secured second in Heats 1 and 3 and third in Heat 2, while #18 Ryan Burgess rounded out the top contenders with a third-place finish in Heat 1 and second-place results in Heats 2 and a podium finish in Heat 3.

“In the Cadet Arrive and Drive class, #45 Mason Sousa took top honors with a composed performance, followed by #25 Miguel Cabral in second place. Newcomer #301 Cooper Hillier impressed in his debut, finishing third in his first time on the track.

“All eyes now turn to April 26, when the final race will bring the 2025–2026 Bermuda Rubis Energy Karting Championship to a close. With championship positions on the line, drivers are expected to push both strategy and speed to the limit in pursuit of a strong finish to the season.”
