Penruddocke, Patton & Kempe Start In France
Bermudian sailors Adriana Penruddocke, Campbell Patton, and Sebastian Kempe began competition at the 57th edition of La Semaine Olympique Française in Côte d’Azur, France.
The six-day sailing event features a field of over 700 international competitors.
Competing in the ILCA 6 fleet, Penruddocke is in 37th place overall. She finished 28th in her first race and 12th in the second. Ireland’s Eve McMahon leads the ILCA 6 division after winning both races, followed by Switzerland’s Rosine Bauret and Italy’s Chiara Benini Floriani.
In the ILCA 7 division, Patton sits in 33rd place overall following finishes of 23rd and 12th, while Kempe is in 99th place overall.
