Bermuda Fitted Dinghy Season Starts Sunday
The 2026 Bermuda Fitted Dinghy racing season is scheduled to begin on Sunday [May 24] in St. George’s Harbour, with the opening day hosted by the St. George’s Dinghy & Sports Club.
The season opener marks the return of one of Bermuda’s longest-standing maritime traditions, with crews competing in the island’s distinctive fitted dinghies on the waters off St. George’s.
Three races are scheduled for the opening day program.
The Heritage Trophy Race is set to start at 12 noon and will serve as the first event of the 2026 season. The Anniversary Cup race will follow at 1:30 p.m., before the day concludes with the Leon D. Fox Cup race at 3 p.m.
