BFA Attend Concacaf Grassroots Conference
Bermuda Football Association executives Mark Wade, Maurice Lowe and David Sabir attended the inaugural Concacaf Grassroots Football Conference in Sint Maarten.
The event marked the launch of the Concacaf Grassroots Charter, described by the Bermuda Football Association as “a strategic framework designed to support the growth, structure, and sustainability of grassroots football across the region”.
BFA president Wade took part in a panel discussion on “Increasing Women & Girls’ Participation in Grassroots Football” alongside representatives from Turks & Caicos, the Dominican Republic and St Kitts & Nevis.
According to the BFA, discussions focused on “opportunity, inclusion, safeguarding, and long-term development strategies for the women’s game”.
The conference also featured workshops and technical guidance aimed at helping member associations strengthen football development in their communities.
