Nia Christopher Scores Hat Trick In Iceland
Bermudian footballer Nia Christopher delivered a superb performance this weekend, coming off the bench to score a second-half hat-trick and lead FH Hafnarfjordur to victory over Fram in the Iceland Women’s Premier League.
Ingibjörg Magnúsdóttir scored first for the hosts in the 15th minute and Fram responded four minutes later through Taylor Marie Hamlett, who scored again in the 43rd minute to give the visitors a 2-1 halftime lead.
Christopher was introduced in the 46th minute, replacing Berglind Freyja Hlynsdóttir, and the Bermudian footballer immediately made a strong impact.
Four minutes into the second half, Christopher scored to tie the match, before adding her second goal in the 62nd minute to put FH ahead.
Helena Maree Errington increased the lead in the 65th minute, and Hafrún Birna Helgadóttir made it 5-2 in the 83rd minute.
Christopher then completed her hat-trick by converting a penalty kick in stoppage time to finalize the scoring.
