Old Bermuda Notes Sell For $7300 At Auction
Two Bermuda Government specimen banknotes sold for a combined £5,500 [$7,399] at a Noonans auction in England this week.
According to the live coverage from the auction, a Bermuda Government colour trial £5 note, dated 1941, sold for £4,000 [$5,381] after being listed with an estimate of £700 to £900 [$942 to $1,211].
A Bermuda Government colour trial 5 Shillings note, dated 1952, sold for £1,500 [$2,018] after being listed with an estimate of £500 to £700 [$673 to $942].
