Swing Bridge Detour Traffic Notice Amended
The Ministry of Public Works and Environment issued an amended traffic notice for the Swing Bridge area.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works and Environment advises the motoring public that an amended Road Traffic Notice has been issued for the Swing Bridge detour route construction in St George’s.
“The amended notice corrects street names listed under Phase I and Phase IV. Phase I now references Park access via Southside Road, while Phase IV references Waller’s Point Road.
“The phased detour route works are scheduled to begin on Monday, 25 May 2026, and continue through Monday, 7 September 2026, with working hours from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
“Motorists are advised to travel carefully through the phased detour routes, follow all posted signage and take note of traffic controls in the area.”
