Volleyball Teams Conclude ECVA Games
Bermuda’s participation in the 2026 Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association [ECVA] Senior Beach Volleyball Championship concluded following the knockout and final pool stages in Saint Lucia.
In the men’s division, Benjamin Barnett and Sean Tucker opened the day with their final pool match against Yahn Florent and Mervin Mingo of St. Kitts & Nevis. The Bermudian pair won the first set but lost the match 2-1 with scores of 18-21, 21-14, 15-12.
Despite the defeat, Barnett and Tucker advanced to the quarterfinals to face Julian Bristol and Elkreen Morton of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The Bermuda duo was eliminated following a straight-set loss, 21-17, 21-17.
In the women’s division, Hailey Trott and Kayley Hamilton competed in their final Pool A fixture against Joyan Pascal and Adicia Burton of Dominica. The Dominican pair defeated the Bermudians 2-11, 21-13. The result prevented Trott and Hamilton from advancing to the quarterfinal round.
