Bromby Maintains 2nd Place At IOD Worlds
Bermudian sailor Peter Bromby holds second place, while fellow Bermudian Kelsey Durham sits ninth, following the third day of racing at the 2026 International One Design [IOD] World Championship in Marblehead, Massachusetts.
With the discard rule now applied, competitors were able to drop their worst individual race score, reshaping the standings across the fleet.
Bromby, who represented Bermuda in multiple Olympics, recorded fifth- and ninth-place finishes in the day’s two races. He discarded the ninth-place result to move to 19 net points, placing him eight points behind overall leader Peter Wickwire.
Durham slipped two positions to ninth overall with 29 net points. He finished second in the morning race and eighth in the afternoon race, using his discard to remove one of his ninth-place finishes from the second day of the regatta.
