Breezers, Aces Claim Netball Victories
Bailey’s Bay Breezers and Atlantic Aces recorded victories in the Bermuda Netball Summer League Co-ed Division, while PHC Lady Zebras and NB Under-21 Academy were winners in the Women’s Division in the latest round of action.
In the Co-ed Division, Breezers defeated Somerset 24-4, with Druw Bascome scoring 17 goals and Kessiah Jackson adding seven.
Somerset’s scorers were Ramiah Brangman with three goals and Malik Joel with one.
Kessiah Jackson was named Best Attacker, Mali Smith Best Defender and Bascome MVP for the Breezers, while Ramiah Brangman was Best Attacker, Jeze Butterfield Best Defender and Simeon Burrows MVP for Somerset.
Atlantic Aces beat RenRe & Friends 18-16.
Charlie Evans and Sinae Symonds scored nine goals each for the Aces, while Aaron Woods scored nine, Krishay Tucker five and Sonja Townsend two for RenRe & Friends.
Kyle Godfrey was named Best Attacker, Jana Philips Best Defender and Lexi Heywood MVP for the Aces.
Aaron Woods was Best Attacker, Jamie Cedenio Best Defender and Kiante Lightbourne MVP for RenRe & Friends.
In the Women’s Division, PHC Lady Zebras defeated Bermuda College Chargers 30-12.
Nisaiah Berkeley scored 26 goals, with Debre Evans and Terita Bean adding two each.
Kammie Mills scored nine goals for the Chargers, while Sydney Santos and Uni Simmons added two and one respectively.
Keunna Dill was named Best Attacker, Jordyn Ming Best Defender and Berkeley MVP for PHC. Deonte Scott was Best Defender and Santos MVP for the Chargers.
NB U21 Academy beat Tropical Storm 24-11. Jamir Hatherley scored 10 goals, Callia Joell eight, Alexia Pascall four and Sioma Rudo two for the Academy.
Tropical Storm’s scorers were Hailey O’douri with four, Samantha Morgan three, Mayah Williams-Johnson two, and Nala Richardson and Selah Tuzo with one apiece.
Saniyah Govia was named Best Attacker, Naomi Crofton Best Defender and Hatherley MVP for the Academy.
Vongai Benza was Best Attacker, T’jaia Butler Best Defender and Tuzo MVP for Tropical Storm.
