Panama Defeat The Bahamas By Four Wickets
Panama defeated the Bahamas by four wickets in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Americas Sub-Regional Qualifier at North Field, National Sports Centre, today [June 24].
Batting first, the Bahamas, who lost the toss, posted 114 for five from their allotted 20 overs.
Opener Marc Taylor top-scored with 62 from 56 balls, hitting seven fours and two sixes.
In reply, Panama reached 115 for six with 19 balls to spare, led by Mahmed Bawa’s 47 from 39 deliveries, which included four fours and two sixes.
Panama will face Bermuda tomorrow at 10.30am in a match that could prove pivotal in the race to qualify from Group A.
