Cricket: The Bahamas Enjoy Victory Over Belize
The Bahamas beat Belize by 22 runs on the final day of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Americas Sub-Regional Qualifier at the North Field, National Sports Centre, today [June 27].
Belize won the toss and elected to field, with the Bahamas posting 143 for six from their allotted overs.
Opening batter Marc Taylor, who was dropped on nought, top-scored with 51 off 52 balls, including five fours and one six.
Maurice Castillo was the pick of the Belize bowlers with three for 13.
In reply, Belize made 121 for nine, with captain Maurice Castillo scoring 37 off 29 balls, including four sixes.
Gregory Irvin and Everette Haven both took three wickets.
