BPS Appeal For Info After Firearm Incident
The Bermuda Police Service is continuing its investigation into a confirmed firearms incident on Harrington Sound Road, Smith’s, with no injuries reported and an appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage.
A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service continues its investigation into the confirmed firearms incident that occurred at approximately 10:47 p.m. on Sunday, 26 July 2026, in the area of Harrington Sound Road, between Broken Hill Lane and Broken Hill Road, Smith’s.
“After receiving several 911 calls reporting the sound of multiple gunshots, Police officers, accompanied by the Forensic Support Unit, attended and conducted a forensic examination of the scene.
“There have been no reports of any injuries in connection with this incident, either at the scene or at the hospital.
“Detectives from the Serious Crime Unit are actively pursuing all available lines of enquiry, including engagement with members of the surrounding community.
“Investigators are appealing for anyone who may have been travelling along Harrington Sound Road between 10:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, 26 July 2026, and who may have witnessed suspicious activity involving a lone individual wearing dark coloured clothing riding a dark coloured motorcycle eastbound along Harrington Sound Road, to contact police.
“Motorists whose vehicles are equipped with dash cameras and who travelled through the area during the relevant time are also urged to review their recordings and contact investigators if they captured any footage that may assist the investigation.
