Digicel Working To Restore Services
Digicel Bermuda says it is working around the clock to restore fixed line services following a network outage that began on July 12, with emergency lines for the Bermuda Police Service and the hospital now confirmed to be operational.
A spokesperson said, “Digicel Bermuda is currently responding to a network outage affecting portions of its fixed line services.
“Our technical teams have been working continuously since the incident began on July 12 to restore service as quickly and safely as possible. We recognize the disruption this has caused to affected customers and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
“We can confirm that currently The Bermuda Police Service and the Hospital are receiving calls to their emergency lines. The Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service was never impacted by this outage. Restoration efforts continue across the network, and our teams remain focused on returning all remaining affected services to normal as quickly and safely as possible.
“We are actively coordinating our response with the relevant authorities and technology partners as restoration efforts continue. Our immediate focus is restoring services safely, maintaining network integrity, and minimizing the impact on customers.
“We will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.”
