Family Centre and title sponsor Clarien Bank are inviting the community to support the annual Cup Match Tag Day on July 29, with ribbon sales helping fund mental health counselling and youth programmes across Bermuda.

A spokesperson said, “Family Centre, together with long-standing title sponsor Clarien Bank, is inviting the community to take part in Family Centre’s annual Cup Match Tag Day on Wednesday, July 29, 2026. Cup Match ribbons are now available for a minimum donation of $3.00. This gives residents and businesses the opportunity to show their Somerset or St. George’s pride while helping ensure children, teens and families across Bermuda can access mental health counselling and therapeutic youth programmes without the barrier of cost.

“This year marks the 25th anniversary of Clarien Bank’s sponsorship of Family Centre’s Cup Match Tag Day. Since 2001, Clarien has been a dedicated partner in Family Centre’s mission to strengthen families and promote the wellbeing of children and teens in Bermuda. To mark the occasion, Clarien is planning Tag Day activities at Point House hosted by MC PowerGirl, and featuring H&H Gombeys, DJ Korie Minors, and Ashley’s Lemonade. The public is encouraged to stop by, collect ribbons, and join in the celebrations on Wednesday, July 29.

“Family Centre’s Cup Match Tag Day is one of the charity’s most important annual fundraisers and is dedicated in memory of Family Centre’s founder and former Executive Director, the late Martha Dismont. Tag Day was one of Martha’s favourite events. She loved seeing Somerset and St. George’s ribbons worn across the island as a visible sign of community spirit, friendly rivalry and shared care for Bermuda’s children and families.

“Family Centre is a Bermuda-registered charity [#378] providing counselling services, therapeutic youth programmes [Youth Leadership Academy, Beyond Rugby Bermuda, and Bermuda Yoga Bermuda], and advocacy. The organisation is Bermuda’s only accredited nonprofit mental health organisation for children and teens that is not government or hospital based. Its services and programmes support children ages 4 to 18 and their families.”

“Cup Match is a time when Bermuda comes together, and Tag Day gives all of us a simple way to turn that community spirit into meaningful support for families,” said Dr Sandy De Silva, Executive Director of Family Centre. “Every ribbon purchased, every donation, and every volunteer who signs up for Tag Day helps Family Centre continue to provide counselling and youth programmes at no cost to children, teens and families who need support. We are deeply grateful to Clarien Bank for 25 years of partnership on this event and to everyone who helps support Family Centre’s mission.”
