Sebastian Kempe Secures Pan Am Spot
Sebastian Kempe secured Bermuda’s first qualification place for the 2027 Pan American Games after finishing fourteenth in the ILCA 7 fleet at the San Pedro Olympic Class Racing regatta.
Kempe ended the 12-race series on 99 net points after competing against a 63-boat field. His best result came in Race 6, where he finished eighth.
Campbell Patton also competed in the ILCA 7 fleet, finishing 36th overall with 211 net points. His best performance came in Race 4, where he placed eighteenth.
In the ILCA 6 fleet, Olympian Adriana Penruddocke finished 39th with 209 net points. She made a strong start to the regatta with back-to-back seventh-place finishes in Races 2 and 3.
The Pan American Games will be held in Lima, Peru, next summer.
