Matches Moved To Barbados Due To Lights Issue
The Bermuda Football Association [BFA] said Bermuda’s October Concacaf Nations League matches will be played in Barbados because replacement work on the field lights at the Dame Flora Duffy South Field at the National Sports Center will not be completed in time for Bermuda to host the matches.
A spokesperson said, “In an unfortunate twist, the scheduled replacement of the field lights at the Dame Flora Duffy South Field will not be complete in time for Bermuda to host the group matches as scheduled in October. Hence, the team will now play in Barbados.”
Bermuda are competing in League B of the 2026/27 Concacaf Nations League alongside Guadeloupe, Saint Lucia and Barbados.

The swimming pool at the NSC is amazing and the staff do a terrific job but the changing rooms and bathrooms are a disgrace. We are now forced to us “temporary” facilities. The staff do the best they can with what they have.
Somehow this amazing health benefit to Bermuda has no lights for the fields and horrible bathroom/changing area yet we have enough for Caricom. Bermuda should come first.
