Reece, Naylor, Donawa Earn Aviation Bursaries
The Bermuda Airport Authority presented Aviation Bursary Awards to Elias Reece, Ishmeal Naylor and Remy Donawa in recognition of their pursuit of careers in the aviation industry.
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Airport Authority is proud to announce the recipients of its inaugural Aviation Bursary Awards, recognising three Bermudians whose studies and training can contribute to the future of Bermuda’s aviation industry.

“Following a competitive application process, the Authority awarded bursaries of $5,000 each to:
- Elias Reece, who is pursuing a BSc in Aviation Operations with Commercial Pilot Training at Kingston University.
- Ishmeal Naylor, who is studying Aviation Management – Maintenance & Flight at Andrews University.
- Remy Donawa, who is pursuing a degree in Aeronautical Science [Flight] at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
“The inaugural awards were dedicated to the memory of former Authority employees Mr Burton Cox and Mr Kim Wade, both respected professionals who made significant contributions to Bermuda’s aviation community.”
Lester Nelson, Chief Executive Officer of the Bermuda Airport Authority, commented: “We were impressed by the calibre of applications received and are delighted to support these outstanding young Bermudians as they pursue careers in aviation. Their dedication, achievements and passion for the industry give us great confidence in the future of aviation in Bermuda.”
The spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Airport Authority congratulates Elias, Ishmeal and Remy on their achievements and wishes them every success in their studies and future careers.
