DeRoza Helps New Hampshire Earn 2-1 Victory
Bermudian footballer Xahvi DeRoza recorded an assist as the University of New Hampshire men’s football team defeated St John’s University 2-1 at Wildcat Stadium.
DeRoza and Cabot McLaren were credited with the assists when Miguel Soto Gonzalez opened the scoring in the 24th minute, finishing from 12 yards into the lower-right corner.
St John’s equalised shortly after half-time, with Travis Thompson scoring from an Andrew Porucznik delivery in the 47th minute.
Graham Dougald restored New Hampshire’s lead in the 55th minute, scoring from 18 yards following an assist from Lukas Kuca. The Wildcats protected their advantage during the remaining 35 minutes to secure the victory.
