Emma Simmons Wins Bronze In Vietnam
Emma Simmons won the bronze medal in the Women’s Singles 3.5 50+ division at the International Pickleball Tournament in Da Nang, Vietnam.
Simmons advanced to the semifinals after defeating Tong Ho-man Rebeee 1-0 in the quarterfinals.
She then lost 1-0 to Prashanti Lakamsani in the semifinals, ending her chance to compete for the gold medal.
Simmons secured third place by defeating Kunpawee Aphichatabut 21-15 in the bronze-medal match.
The result gives Bermuda its second medal of the tournament as Vincent Chaves and Jose Barosa previously won silver in the men’s amateur 50+ doubles.
