Hamilton Re ‘Heartbroken By The Loss ‘
Hamilton Re said they are “profoundly saddened by the loss of our colleague Sergio Lottimore” and are “heartbroken by the loss of a respected leader, colleague and friend.”
Mr Lottimore, 41, and his 66-year-old mother Marilyn Lavonne Bean were on the air ambulance that went missing off the coast of Nantucket this weekend.
The company’s statement read, “We are profoundly saddened by the loss of our colleague, Sergio Lottimore, SVP, Head of Specialty Reinsurance at Hamilton Re, who, along with his mother, was among those on board the medical transport aircraft that departed Bermuda for Boston.
“The entire Hamilton team is heartbroken by the loss of a respected leader, colleague and friend. Our thoughts are with Sergio’s family and loved ones, and all those affected by this tragedy.”

Mr Lottimore’s alma mater also paid tribute with Warwick Academy posting, “The Warwick Academy community is deeply saddened by the news that former student Sergio Wayne Lottimore, Class of 2002, and his mother, Marilyn Lavonne Bean, are presumed to have died in the air ambulance tragedy off Nantucket.
“A school Prefect and an outstanding person, Sergio will be remembered with great fondness by those who knew him. We send our heartfelt condolences to their family and friends. Our thoughts are with them and with the loved ones of everyone aboard the Latitude Air Ambulance flight during this heartbreaking time.”
