Hupman, Smith & Dalhousie Win Sailing Title
Bermudian sailors Laura Hupman and Ahzai Smith and the Dalhousie University sailing team won the Canadian Intercollegiate Sailing Association [CICSA] Team Racing National Championship in Quebec.
Hosted by McGill University at Pointe-Claire Yacht Club on October 24 and 25, the event ended with Dalhousie claiming first place ahead of Queen’s University, with McGill completing the top three.
The University of Toronto finished fourth, followed by Concordia University in fifth and the University of Ottawa in sixth.
The victory gave Dalhousie national titles on consecutive weekends, following its success at the CICSA Match Race Nationals on October 17 and 18, where Ottawa finished second and Toronto placed third.
