BELCO: Expects Last Customers Completed
BELCO said that as of 6:00pm last night [Sept 25], only 19 customers remain without power, and the company expected to complete the work last night. They further stated that was their final update on Hurricane Igor power restoration, and they thanked the community for their patience and cooperation throughout the restoration process.
After the passing of Hurricane Igor, there were approximately 28,700 customers without power on Monday Sept 20th. BELCO, Bermuda’s sole provider of electricity, managed to bring the entire island back online in six days, and has been widely lauded in the community for their efforts.
