Rugby Team Wins Opening Game

The Bermuda Junior Team won their opening Las Vegas Rugby Invitational 7’s match 31 – 0.

Bermuda took on Stern Math and Science High School in the first of three scheduled games for the day. Bermuda got 2 tries from Ndavyah Williams, they also got single tries from Ngarryan Darrell, Antonio Perinchief and Rory Crofts.

In their second match Bermuda went down 10 – 5 to the Notre Dame Hounds, Bermuda scored a first half try through Nikye Atherden, but that was answered by 2 late second half Try’s by Notre Dame.

Bermuda then went down 45 – 5 a very strong BC 3 side. Bermuda’s try was scored by Ngarryan Darrell which was well deserved during a day where he produced some great cover defending tackles.

Bermuda then took on Bellarmine in a full 15 a side battle going down 26 – 12. Bermuda got tries from Marcus Ritchie and Joshua Deallie.

The Bermuda team of 24 compromises players from Berkeley, Cedarbridge, MSA, Somersfield, Bermuda Institute, Saltus and overseas schools.
