Cricket: Bermuda Beat Papua New Guinea

[Updated with photos] The Bermuda National Cricket team won their first game in the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifiers taking place in the United Arab Emirates, beating Papua New Guinea by 5 wickets today [Mar.19].

Papua New Guinea won the toss and elected to bat. They were  restricted to 155/6 in their allotted 20 overs with Vani Morea their top scorer with 49 not out, Christopher Amini added 32. Dion Stovell was the pick of the Bermuda bowlers with figures of 4-0-21-2 and Sammy Robinson bowled 4-0-27-2.

In reply, Bermuda scored 158/5 in 19.3 overs, Janeiro Tucker was the top scorer with 52 not out, while Stovell added 31 and David Hemp scored 30. Four Papua New Guinea bowlers took a wicket each. The final score was Papua New Guinea 155/6 Bermuda 158/5, and a full scorecard is available here.
