Video: Business Bermuda Year In Review
Despite the fact 2011 was marked by wild global economic fluctuations, Business Bermuda had one of its most successful years ever — continuing to promote the island’s corporate brand around the world — they said.
In a newly released promotional video highlighting the organisation’s achievements in 2011, Business Bermuda Chief Executive Office Cheryl Packwood noted the group flew the flag for the island everywhere from Canada to Africa to the Middle East.
“This year, through judicious management, Business Bermuda has hosted more events, attended more conferences and conducted more one-on-one meetings than ever before, actively telling the world Bermuda is well-positioned in this global web to provide financial stability through global interconnectivity,” she said in the video.
Business Bermuda works with Bermuda-resident companies and the Bermuda Government to develop and promote Bermuda internationally as the jurisdiction of choice.
Its goal is to attract international businesses to Bermuda. The collaborative efforts of Government and our members work to achieve real sustainable growth in foreign currency earnings, new business, and employment opportunities. Business Bermuda also play a role in informing and educating the local community as a whole.
Business Bermuda is funded by membership fees and Government. Its members also give freely of their time to tell the Bermuda story at international conferences.

I would strongly suggest that Business Bermuda have a heart-to-heart with the Government and strongly advise them that they should move VERY quickly to remove ALL the “push-back/anti-foreigner” legislation/regulations that has been brought in since 2000. Then we might see some new International Companies setting up here and our economic recovery could begin…
