I hope the courts treat it as if it were a real weapon.

    Him again?

I wonder if he’s going to use the old “found it on the side of the road” excuse again.

If ever there was a threat to Bermuda’s reputation as a safe haven for tourists to visit then this clown is one of them.

Bermuda needs to get serious about what we do with these morons to make it a safe place to live/visit again whilst every law abiding citizen goes about their daily business.

Get serious in the courts, the sentences should suit the crimes and send out a clear message to all the other wannabes what to expect when they are caught.

BTW Government can save some of our tax dollars by switching off the A/C’s and TV’s in Westgate, especially in the height of Summer……..just a thought.

Good for you melrah, I’m so glad to hear someone take these young people’s lives seriously. The youth today have a lot to contend with, peer pressure, unemployment, poor resources for direction, lack of programs. poor/lack of successful educational programs and outcome, and yes at some point we have to stop blaming their poor decisions on all of the above and then some, but it doesn’t surprise me that our youth are the way they are lets get real we can watch t.v. and learn more about how to commit the perfect crime and how to survive prison, gangs and what they are and how to conduct gang activity, rap artists that have received their accolades for their involvement of all of the above. The message is clear, while there might be the argument that not all youth are alike, I wonder if they aren’t talking about the disparity of the youth they refer to, i.e.financial. cultural, racial barriers that separate what is considered expectable by those on the receiving side by the same youth they despise, now they now what the saying means “If you could walk in my shoes” every person deserves the opportunity to grow with pride and humility, but when we force our youth to look at other means of survival because opportunity shuts them out, this is what we as a community are left to deal with, unfortunately!!!
