Hardy Postpones AGM Till After Acquisition
At the Hardy Underwriting Bermuda Limited Annual General Meeting on May 16th, the Chairman proposed that the meeting be adjourned pending completion of the acquisition of the Company by CNA Financial Corporation.
The Chairman put to the vote of the meeting a resolution that the meeting be adjourned to a time, date and place to be set by the Board, the date of such adjourned meeting to be no later than 31 December 2012 and the resolution was duly passed.
As announced on 26 April 2012, the resolution to approve the acquisition was passed at the Special General Meeting and accordingly the completion of the acquisition now remains subject only to the receipt of necessary regulatory consents.
