BA Flights To Operate To Schedule On Sunday
British Airways has announced that as there are no plans to close the airport on Sunday [Sept 9], they will operate to schedule.
A BA spokesperson said: “As of Saturday evening there are no plans to close the airport, therefore the British Airways Sunday flights inbound BA 2233 and outbound to London BA 2232 will operate according to schedule on Sunday.
“However airport officials will continue to closely monitor the storm should any change in conditions warrant a closure. Saturday’s British Airways’ flights, which were rescheduled to arrive and depart two hours earlier than the usual times, went according to plan.
“As the weather continues to be unpredictable, please check www.ba.com for the latest updates on arrivals and departures,” concluded the BA spokesperson.
A host of airlines have cancelled flights for tomorrow due to Tropical Storm Leslie including American Airlines, Delta, US Airways and Air Canada. West Jet will fly in from Toronto, however will be delayed with an estimated time of arrival of 7pm.
Leslie’s closest point of approach is forecast to be 142 nautical miles to the east at noon on Sunday.

I’ll bet the airlines are wishing they flew today. The wind was pretty much straight down the runway was it not?
Pretty much, tho as the storm moves by I’m sure there’ll be some crosswinds – Leslie is comparable to a winter storm, maybe the odd strong gust or two.
That’s no surprise BA have the most skilled and best overall pilots. The rest of the airlines have chickens for pilots…
So I assume that u only travel to London or do you sometimes travel with chicken pilots?
So the planes can fly in but our buses cant drive on our roads??? Pathetic!
